Suggestions to bid favourably in JB Stamps Auction

 

Write down on the bid form the maximum amount you wish to pay for the lots of your choice.

 

The prices in the Auction are the prices which we ourselves think are just.

  • All the bids are classified.

  • Bids are recorded on a first come, first served basis, or, given the event of posting, on the posting, date.

  • Please note that you can also telephone bids on (00356) 21342189 or Fax (00356) 21346069.

  • When posting your bids please make sure that, in order not to be disappointed, you do so immediately, as, on equivalent bids, the first one received will be regarded as the successful bid.

Management Expenses:

Please note that there will be a charge of 25p per lot added to each bill. This covers postage and registration. No Buyers Premium.

Value Added Tax:

VAT is charged at the rate of 18% when lots are dispatched to an address in the EU.  Non-EU addresses are charged no VAT.

Dispatch of Lots:

Overseas is usually by Airmail (this would depend on the size and value). All postage and insurance charges are charged at the lowest price and a small charge is added to cover the packaging. Please note that we try to keep this charge to the minimum and lots are packed accordingly.

 

Payment is due on receipt of our Invoice.

Overseas Clients should pay in Sterling by personal cheques or bankers’ draft drawn on Joseph Buttigieg, or by direct transfer to our Bankers:

Mid-Med Bank Ltd, Manwel Dimech Street, Sliema, Malta. (Account Number 00081310882)

Please make sure you sign your bid form when paying by Credit Card.

Crossed, Blank Cheques, sent with the bid form will assist the dispatch of lots. Unsuccessful bidders will have their cheques returned. Foreign cheques are only accepted in Sterling.

Photocopies of lots may be obtained, at a charge of £1.

Fax copies are charged at £1 per sheet.
