As has already been mentioned elsewhere, The Malta Philatelic Society is a non-profit organisation. Although the MPS is Malta’s national society supporting the study and collecting of stamps and postal history, the major part of whose effort is in fact concentrated upon the education of collectors and the general public about this fascinating hobby, its main source of income is derived from membership fees. As such, it is highly appreciated when donations, however small, are received, as these would help to alleviate the financial burdens which the Society faces in its holding of its activities, printing and distribution of its publications. Your help in this respect is most welcome. Apart from monetary donations, you could help the MPS in this respect by donating any surplus stamps or philatelic items which you may have. You may also ask your friends, relatives and colleagues at work to retain stamps they receive in their normal mail for you and donate these to the Society. The proceeds from the sale of these items would help in making the Society’s finances go that little bit further. It would also give other members the opportunity to add further material to their collections or perhaps even entice others to join our ranks!!! A Big THANK YOU for your help and understanding. |
